Requesting a Zoom Account
To use Zoom to conduct meetings, host guest speakers, record presentations, and more, Truman faculty and staff should request an account by emailing ltt@truman.edu
Cost?
A Zoom Pro account will be assigned to you at no charge to you or your department. MOREnet provides these accounts via Truman’s paid membership in the MOREnet consortium.
Does My Account Expire?
We do not have enough licenses to just provide one to each Truman user, so the request system helps us to manage the account provision. There are two levels of accounts – Pro and Basic. New requests are set-up with Pro accounts initially. Those accounts must be used at least once every 45 days to maintain that Pro level.
After a 45-day span of no log-ins, accounts will be dropped down to Basic level which allows us to provide Pro features to everyone who needs them. To upgrade back to a Pro account, just email ltt@truman.edu to let us know your needs.
Pro VS Basic Accounts
Basic accounts are still quite powerful and useful – the main differences include features that allow more participants, longer sessions, and accessible recordings.
